About Me
BACP Registered Member 382933 MBACP
Hi, I`m Bev. Thank you for visiting BM Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I’m an Integrative Relational Therapist. I work with couples and individuals. Whether you come to therapy alone or with a partner, I aim to offer a safe, confidential, reflective space where all parts of you are welcomed, seen and understood.
My therapeutic interests are in exploring how change and diversity impact on well-being. My work often involves supporting clients to navigate life transitions such as loss, divorce, ageing, shifting relationships, career changes and questions of identity.
I pay close attention to how your background, culture and lived experience shape your emotional world. And together we explore your feelings, develop coping strategies and strengthen your sense of self. Clients tell me that my approach is warm, collaborative and attuned to difference.
Outside my practice
I am accredited Mental Health First Aid Trainer, delivering courses throughout the year. I organise an annual inclusive health and wellbeing event in Leeds (UK) with speakers, interactive workshops and wellbeing stalls.
Prior to psychotherapy training, I held various leadership roles in the Local Government, NHS, and voluntary sectors - mainly focussing on change.
When I`m not counselling I love being outdoors – Anything outdoors really it`s all part of my self-care!

Feedback
Here are a selection of the feedback received about services provided by BM Counselling and Psychotherapy
"I had reached a stage in my life where I was finding it difficult to cope with bereavement following the death of someone very important and close to me, I needed support. Bev gave me the space and time to explore what was going on for me in a way and at a pace that was unique to me. The sessions were engaging and thought-provoking, where I felt at ease to open up, and I felt heard. Bev skilfully helped me unravel some difficult thoughts and feelings, which I was able to process and better understand. She provided me with further tools to take away to manage some of my difficult emotions and thoughts. I would gladly recommend Bev to others, which is why I am happy to write this."

`Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to deliver a really great session as part of our 2024 Training Month here at New Testament Church of God, Leeds. The content was not only fantastic, but it was delivered at exactly the right level to support understanding and encourage engagement from those present. Those who participated had many take-aways and stand much better informed and empowered to take action off the back of the session, which really hit the objective of getting the group to think seriously about mental health and all it entails on a personal level and from the perspective of supporting others. Thank you once again and may all your endeavours continue to be Blessed'. NTG, Leeds
`Thank you for everything you have done for me personally, and thank you for everything you continue to do for our employees'
